Choose Your Excursion You can choose from one hour, half- day and up to overnight dogsled excursions with us depending upon your desires and 'comfort level'. Check out the Introduction Excursion - lighthearted learning and lightweight activities with sled dogs for everyone!
 
What To Expect

We want you to make the most of your mushing so every excursion starts with your familiarization to the dogs, sled and equipment.


The sled dogs are well-socialized and friendly. You can have as much or as little contact with them as you like.


We carry one or two guests per sled.


For the most comfortable excursion, with lots of legroom and more time driving the sled (if that option is part of your excursion), we highly recommend one guest per sled.


Maximum combined weight limit of two guests is 325 lbs./160 kg. 


No experience is necessary.


You travel on insulated cushions

and back rests with skilled, knowledgeable, friendly guides. On longer excursions you drive the sled with the guide coaching.


Kids & Mushing Kids and sled dogs can have a lot of fun together. Parents will appreciate how Sundogs provides their family with opportunities to learn. But sometimes really young children (either in chronological age or maturity) chill quickly, become fussy on the sled or their attention wanes easily and parents find it would have been much more fun for everyone to have waited a couple of years to take the kids mushing. Because we want to provide the best overall experiences for parents and children alike, Sundogs has set lower age limits for excursions. See rates and excursion descriptions for details.
