Wolf Weekend February 11& 12, 2012
Some of the best ‘wolf country‘
in North America lies within and
                            adjacent to Prince Albert National
                                 Park and Anglin Lake.
The weekend is an opportunity to get acquainted or reacquainted with the life and lore of the grey wolf and other wildlife. Search for tracks and signs, and possibly catch a glimpse of this icon of boreal wilderness.

Learn more about the wolf’s domestic cousins, sled dogs. Take an excursion by dogsled!

The weekend activities will appeal to individuals and couples with an abiding interest in wolves and all of boreal nature or those curious and wanting to learn more.

Land of the Loon Resort and Sundogs Excursions welcome internationally renowned Saskatchewan authors and wildlife photographers Rebecca and Glen Grambo. The most recent of their 26 books, ‘Wolf: Icon, Enemy, Legend’, is a beautiful and thought-provoking exploration of humanity’s relationship with these unforgettable animals. Grambos will lead the afternoon wildlife snowshoe hike and present the evening program.

You and your family will be introduced to a yard of working sled dogs by Bradley Muir of Sundogs during the ‘Puppy Camp’. It’s a ‘behind the tails’ look and hands-on experience with the domestic cousins of the wolf. If you choose the option, you can mush an excursion by dogteam later in the day!
